I am SO nervous...we are flying United on Saturday..
with all these flight cancellations, please send prayers / positive thoughts that our flights wont be cancelled   This is the first real vacation we've had since we got married almost 5 years ago...and we really need one, we've been through a lot the past few years...I am kind of viewing it as a turning point...please send positive vibes our way!!!!!!!!

Didn't they cancel flights because of mechanical/electical issues?

I think they are just looking into airlines that use McDonell Douglas (MD) planes, United only flies Boeing and Air-Bus

Only American Airlines was canceling some of their flights.

You'll be fine. AA, Delta, Midwest Express and a few Southwest flights are being cancelled. Of those, AA has the most cancellations. Its just on the smaller MD80 planes.
