Have you ever taken an IQ test or computer aptitude test...

On an interview? If yes, were you taken aback at this?

Also, if it was a computer aptitude test, what did they ask you to do?

I once had to do five tests for a job. IQ, personality tests, number matching test, computer skill test. Between the tests and interviews with three different people in two departments, I was there for three hours. I was a little miffed at first thinking, thank God I didn't try to come on my lunch hour.

But ever since then, I've been prepared for that possibility and it wouldn't bother me for that to happen again.

there are quite a few different standardized tests that employers are using as a means of screening potential applicants these days. they should be taken seriously too. you CAN fail them

I'm instituting a computer aptitude test for 2nd interviews and I'm amazed at the results I'm seeing. From one extreme to another. But these are only people who were impressive enough to come back so it surprises me.

The things that are on the computer test are easy to intermediate.

One woman cackled when she heard she was going to be taking a test. Once she realized we were serious, you could tell from the sound of her voice that she was offended.

I've had to take personality tests, tests that predicted if you would steal(in reatil when I was 16) and a sales aptitude test which you have to be real moron to fail. All they do is ask you the same question in different words so unless you've been up doing bong hits all night you pretty much have it made.
