ok.are their any arbonne consultants out there?

i need to know the truth about this..i went to a party last week. and of course they try to recruit you. now this woman (president) showed us the chart on how much she makes up to in a month..$35,000..ok i feel if that were true..who the heck wouldnt do it?

she has the mercedes and everything..she mentioned it not being a pyramid job..which i dont belive because that is the only way to move up

can anyone tell me what the deal is with that? this woman really aimed to attack working moms..she made my friend feel horrible about not being home with kids..i feel if you are making so much $$ than dont jab at people who arent as pushy and have career jobs that they worked hard for.

The REAL deal on Arbonne InternationalJuly 05, 2007
A little bit of Reality
I received this link from a Arbonneanonymous poster. Check it out! It provides a good realistic point of view.

http://www.cosmeticscop.com/bulletin/062107-full.htm

You will also notice that the author of the site has her own skin care line. Personally, I think good skin care can be achieved without spending a whole lot of money so I am definitely not telling you to go to this site and buy her products. But I suspect that some of you may prefer to purchase expensive products for your own reasons; maybe you just feel more motivated to take care of your skin when you've spent a lot of money on products. I've been there!

A Modest Proposal
This was so perfectly put that I had to make sure everyone that visits the site had the opportunity to read this. Thanks, J. Fantastic post!

It is true that the information here may influence people's decision on whether or not to begin an Arbonne business. As a result, many consultants will have to answer some questions about the concerns raised here. It may be necessary to fully disclose the facts about the biz in order to persuade potential recruits to join.

For example, inform them that while you have been satisfied with your results, far less than 1% of consultants make it to NVP. Explain that it takes significant time and work to make it to DM, and they will not earn much (if anything) for their time and efforts for a long time if they are building it the right way.

While 10 hours per week is what most consultants aim to spend, it often requires more than that, (much more), particularly when getting started, (and sometimes after getting promoted). Let them know that at some point, cold market prospecting will be a necessity to maintain position, because they will run out of friends willing to spend money every month. This may involve them needing to take up extracurricular activities and getting acquainted with people they don't know and wouldn't normally talk to in hopes to recruit them at some point. They may be okay with this when you tell them that some of their friends will no longer want to be around them anymore if they are constantly "dripping" on them.

Inform them that large upfront investments are risky, and that promotion from fast track front-loading leads to fast crumbling of teams. Let them know that the likelihood of them losing any money spent up front is great, and that their odds of recouping their investment are greater at a slot machine in Vegas than with Arbonne (and, in fact, slot machines are less work).

When you're talking product and patents, you may need to disclose that Arbonne buys formulas from other labs and chemists, and that these labs also develop and sell formulas to Arbonne's competitors in the industry. Please explain that Mr. Botiglierri does not work exclusively with or for Arbonne, and he in fact develops products for several other cosmetic companies as well, meaning there may be similar formulas available from other companies.

For those that want to know if it's like Amway, instead of saying "No, of course not," try saying, "Well yes, it is. It's multi-level marketing. In fact, our CEO has Amway on his resume." When they ask about saturation, explain that some areas are already saturated, as this is inevitable, as the goal of any corporation is market saturation -- it is how they make money. You can only hope that they don't live in one of those areas. Oh, and there are no sales territories. They might be living next door to someone who has already sold the whole neighborhood.

Be sure they understand that they won't be allowed to sell on the internet without using the Arbonne template website and paying the Arbonne fee for it. And be sure they understand that although this policy used to be enforced, eBay now has anywhere from 1500-3000 Arbonne product auctions going on any given day, where the products can be purchased for a discount of 50-80% off retail, usually sales tax free.

Don't forget to add that even though these obstacles exist, the consultants have absolutely zero power or ability to do anything about them, as they are in reality at the mercy of Arbonne corporate, because that's who makes the rules. Be sure to include that Arbonne has the ability to change their compensation plan at any time, for any reason, or just sell the company and leave them with a bill for a Mercedes and no paycheck.

So, in short, disclose that the success rate is low, drop out rate high, financial risk is great, competition is fierce, and almost any Arbonne product can be purchased online anywhere in the world much much cheaper without having to pay the $29. All of this with zero control over any of it. But that's just capitalism, right?

Other than that, it's a really great business opportunity that you're totally satisfied with and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

Re: ok.are their any arbonne consultants out there?

From going to a party...my understanding was that IT is a pyramid....how else are they making any money.

Also that is why the continue to recruit more people....a cut for them and so on.

I mean hey, its like PartyLite, Tupperware, and Pampered Chef...where people can make a living I guess if they are dedicated but I dont know about 35k a month.

Im guilty though cause I bought a product from them. I didnt join just purchased some lotion that yes, was good and I would buy again but havent.

Esp now...there are more and more working moms. Most cant stay home and if it was so easy...the ALL of us would be selling Arbonne and be RICH!

Re: ok.are their any arbonne consultants out there?

One of my best friends sells it.

Nobody is more motivating or works harder than her at it and no, she doesn't have the Mercedes yet and it's been 2 years.

She hardly even broke even until (yes, she was in the red) after the first year because she was investing so much time and money into it.

I have to say I feel like it also put a strain on our friendship. My friend is so obsessed. I felt like she was constantly plugging her products everytime I talked to her. I think she was also upset with me because I wouldn't have a party - honestly, I was embarrassed to have a party because the stuff is so damn expensive - most of my friends are not in the financial position to drop $300 on a anti-aging kit.

Re: ok.are their any arbonne consultants out there?

I never even heard of them. I work for a Multi level Marketing (MLM) company and their is no way she is making $35,000 a month unless she is really busting her butt 30 - 40 hours a week selling this stuff and recruiting. Even then it's questionable. And you do have to invest a lot of money. The company I work for the minimum start up fee is $99.00. If you get the whole big plan it can cost you over $1200 just to get started. Not to mention the cost of the monthly shipments of product. So you are putting out a lot of money and it takes a while to even break even.

When recruiting she needs to have the income disclosure statement posted. I am not sure if it's a law but I know at all the meetings our outside reps do and any type of recruiting the income disclosure statement must be posted.

Since I work for an MLM and see what goes on I am very cautious about any other products or what gets sold (Partylite, pampered chef, etc...) I knew someone that sold Avon for a short period of time and he said it just got to a point where he wasnt getting anything back from it. He was doing it for fun and then it got to a point where it was all about recruitment and that was not for him.

A lot of these MLM's and pyramid companies are watched by the FTC. Their is a lot of things that have to be posted and documented to prevent them from crossing the line into pyramid. Sometimes it's hard to prove if a company is a pyramid.

Chat Icon I laugh b/c our friend who got into this is like this to a "T".

She is a very hard worker I will say.......she does bust her a$$ as that isn't the only job she has........but she does very well on it. She has recruited tons of people and throws parties ALL the time.

I will admit....she has gotten better....but when she first got into it.....that is ALL she ever talked about to me and my friends. Almost like a very massive brainwash.......and she's very persistent!!!!!!!!!

Thankfully, she stepped back a bit and isn't down our throats on this stuff as much. But it got a bit hectic and uncomfortable for a while.

ETA: And she is working to get that Mercedes as well! Chat Icon It's her goal.

Re: ok.are their any arbonne consultants out there?

yea my best friend sells it as her only job and makes around $5,000 on a good month (last month was $1000) and she started over a year ago. I bet I know that lady with the mercedes! You basically wouldve had to have been one of the first people to start selling it on the island in order to make $35,000 a month. You have to have a seriously huge downline of people!!

I have to say though that I feel the same way about feeling distant from a friend. She has been my best friend since 4th grade and was my moh at my wedding. Well, she didnt come to the afterparty because she had a training to go to in another state. Shes obsessed, and we cant even go shopping together without her stopping at the beauty section to read the labels looking or mineral oil! Chat Icon
