I would say black, fishnet or no stockings. I'm not a fan of nude stockings.

I have the same problem. I think it depends on what type of event you are going to? If you have closed toed shoes then I would definitely say wear nude stockings...I do if it's appropriate for the event I'm going to (in other words if I'm going to a barbeque I obviously wouldn't don the stockings)

I go with a nude or a light black pair with a line in the back.

there are nude stockings that give you a bit of color like you have a slight tan

I usually hate nude stockings but then I found Donna Karen nudes and they are awesome. They are a little $$, but they look great and I have one pair like three times. They come in different nude shades to match your skin tone.

Same here.
IMO, a fair leg in a black dress and shoe is definitely less offensive than stockings...especially this time of the year.
Unless you need to be business dress, I say skip the hose, and go bare legged.

Yes! And may I recommend Jurgen's... It's great!
I always use it every day for about 4 days before I need to wear the dress and shoes combination. Unless it's in the dead of winter-I don't do stockings.

its to a night wedding. do you really think no stockings is an appropriate way to go? hubby said no stockings also but i just feel naked without them.
