Re: sick what can I take?
I know how you feel. I had a horrible cold a few weeks ago and unfortunately my Dr. recommended that I not take anything except tylenol if I had a low grade fever because I was still in my first trimester. I stuck it out and it took over a week to feel better. Hope you feel better soon!

I think every doc is diff so you should wait till your doc appt. My doctor did not want me taking anything. I have gotten a cold 4 times this winter!!!! It was horrible.

Re: sick what can I take?
I was told benadryl is safe, but I would check w/ your dr, as the others have said, all drs have their own opinions. Mine told me zirtec, benadryl and sudafed were fine.

Re: sick what can I take?
I just got over being sick last week. I was so congested, I felt like my head was going to blow. Im in my 2nd trimester & my doc said that Zyrtec & Clariton was okay to take. Once I realized that it wasn't allergies (which i originally thought it was) I was told that Tylenol Cold & Sinus was pretty safe. The only thing I believe you really cant take is an antiinflammatory such as Advil.
Feel better.

Re: sick what can I take?
I had a very bad head cold and sinus infection for the past 3 days. I was instructed by my OB's office to keep drinking fluids and take Tylenol. They told me that if my throat got sore, to get myself to my internist for a throat culture to make sure I do not have strep.

Re: sick what can I take?
I had a really bad cold - just getting over it now. My midwife gave me a z-pak which seems to have cleared it up aside from this lingering cough.
Feel better!

Re: sick what can I take?
i was told one sudafed was ok. something that is not medicinal that i like for congestion and that i used are winter all the sudacare tablets you put in your shower. they make a nice eucalyptus steam bath.
eta: sorry, sudaCARE tablets, not sudaFED tablets - they come in a blue package.
