Re: washing baby clothes

You do need to wash everything (not just clothes - burp clothes, bibs, bedding, boppy covers, etc) but it doesn't have to be Dreft. Any 'free and clear' detergent will do. Actually, if you have an HE washer, you can't use Dreft - they don't make HE detergent.

Re: washing baby clothes

You can, you don't have to.

I always do, because I had a feeling my DD would have sensitive skin like her Daddy which she did.

Re: washing baby clothes

We use all free and clear. I washed everything in advance. All the sheets, bibs, burp cloths, changing table covers, etc.

Dont go too nuts with clothes though because you never know what size and how quickly your DC will go through clothes. DS was almost 10lbs at birth so NB was a waste, and now at 15 weeks he is in 6-9 month clothes so I have returned alot of stuff that people bought for the summer in 3-6 for bigger sizes.
