Dr. Hanauer patients
Any of you go to her office?
don't get me wrong i  her, but getting an appt. with her and not a Nurse practitioner seems like its a feat in and of itself. I remember my first pregnancy, my first appt. at 6 weeks was with her, but now i had an appt with the nurse and the next one i think is with teh nurse too.

yes i went to her office. She is really sweet but i was annoyed about that as well. When i had my miscarriage she didnt see me even though my appt was with her. the office pretty much made me feel that if you werent expecting you go to end of the line. They had me an office and forgot i was there for 45 min. alone. after they told me i MC. in pain no less surrounded by baby pics.

She's my Dr and the only time I ever saw the NP was because Dr. Hanauer had an emergency. All other times I've met with the Dr.

I've actually never had a problem with seeing her so far. I saw the NP for my first initial visit that was just family/medical history and bloodwork and ever since then I have seen her for my actual sono/monthly appts.

I saaw the NP for the 6 week bloods & then Dr H for all of the subsequent appts, except the one when Dr H had to run to a delivery. It only happened once during my whole PG & I went more frequently than a normal PG schedule.

I am not pregant but she is my doctor and I have NEVER been able to get an appt. Thinking of just starting to see one of the other doctors in the practice.

I find it hard to get an appt. I've been to her once and I'm due to go again at the end of April. I sure hope I don't see a NP instead of her. If so, I'm firing her.

I have never had a problem getting an appointment with her. The only time I saw the NP was for the initial bloodworrk. Every sono and visit is with her.

I tried to get in there and 2 yrs later I am waiting for a call back. This was a def red flag not to go to that practice. i was not impressed at all. I go to Long Island women's health care and see dr. Grace Gates. HTH

When I was pg I made all my appts very far in advance with her. I didn't see her until my 16 wk appt (had to see Dolisi for my first sono) but after that I had all my appts set for the 40wks. I think she's worth it.

I have been going to her for a couple of years now. She has gotten busier since I first started with her.
As far as my monthly, bi-weekly and weekly appointments, I just made all my appointments ahead of time, so that I always get to see her. I've had maybe 3 appointments with the nurse (my first appointment, one of the ones in the middle and another when Dr. H had an emergency), but all other appointments I had with her.
Book your appointments early...
I think she's worth the wait, I really like her.
