No more heels

My back was killing me all weeks so I switched to flats. I think my relationship with high heels is now over at 18 weeks. Chat Icon

Re: No more heels

See.. I dont think I could make that conversion. I need some type of heel support. Flats actually make my back hurt more! (I know, I'm strange)

I'm the same way - I have a really high arch so heels are more comfortable for me. I do find that flats with a bit of a lift are OK...I cannot do flat-flats.

Re: No more heels

I walk into work in my heals then as soon as I get to my desk I put on dressy flip flops.

Today I am in flats because I just didnt feel like putting on big shoes.

I dont know if I can make the conversation to flats all the time. I feel like I'll fall down in flats

Re: No more heels

I'm having issues with my SI joint in my lower back. My OB has a physical therapist on staff that I'm seeing. She said ballet flats and other stylish flats are the worst shoes for your back because they provide no arch or heel support. She wants me in low heels (like mules or kitten heels) or sneakers. I've been in there during lunch on a workday and she has seen my heels and said they're perfect. Be careful with flats!

Thanks. I don't really do the ballet flats, they hurt my back too but I have these fugly black pair of Naturalizer loafer type shoes and I am living in those now. Shame on me, I wore them with navy pants the other day Chat Icon Chat Icon

I stand all day long (I'm a teacher) so I need comfortable shoes.
I wouldn't make it in heels!

I thought about those but I think DH will kill me if I come home with more shoes any time in the next3 years or so Chat Icon I look forward to open toe shoe season, I have plenty to wear then.

Re: No more heels

It's so funny you posted this today because this is my first day wearing heels again! I broke my foot back in Nov and couldn't wear them for a while. I finally said "screw it, in another 2 months I won't be able to so let me put them on now!" I'll probably regret it by the end of the day but its worth a try! (iam a shoe freak too)Chat Icon
