You know you're becoming an IF veteran when...
It's a warm day, but you insist on wearing your jacket because you, being the dumbarse that you are, decided to wear short sleeves, and you don't want to reveal to the world the very obvious and apparent bruises on your arms from having blood drawn sixty gazillion times in the last week

Well, hey, at least I know ONE positive thing is coming out of all of this - I am no longer deathly afraid of drawing blood and needles and haven't passed out from it in EONS!

Re: You know you're becoming an IF veteran when...
nearing the end of my IVF cycle last month, after I had been to the office every morning for 7 days straight, I told the woman taking my blood it was a good thing it was still cold out otherwise people were going to start to think I was shooting myself up.
Good thing all my stim drugs were in the belly so nobody except the hubby could see the pin cushion that my belly looked like.
Beth - I just want to say, I can totally appreciate where you're coming from with the fear of needles. My family cannot believe that I'm able to do this without passing out. It's become second nature to me. I'm even at the point where I just made an appointment for accupuncture!

Whoa! I'm not there yet, but maybe another 6 months of this crap and I will be Who knows, if this continues for a year perhaps I'll consider giving up my J.D. and will go to Med school!

Alternatively - you could keep your arm straight after the blood is drawn. I have minimal bruising since a nice nurse told me this

Ain't that the truth....Or how about when you go to work after your transfer cuz you don't want to lose anymore days....
And hold your arm up straight for a minute, the bleeding stops and a bandaid is only needed for about ten minutes.

You girls rock! I will try this method on Thursday. Even if I look like a complete fool holding my arm up in the air for a minute, it's worth it!
