Braxton Hicks

I'm 23 weeks, with my previous pregnancy I don't remember getting BH this early on. (I think my first was sometime in the early 3T) I just had a few today. No pain of course, just the tightening feeling. Is it normal to get Braxton Hicks so early???

I was just in the hospital due to BH, I am currently 30w2d. My doctor advised me to go to L&D just to get monitored but thank the good lord that everything was perfectly normal. They did an internal, my cervix is thick and closed.

Athough it is very common in the third trimester it is not unheard of to happen early on in pregnancy. I know someone who had them as early as 5 months. You may want to notify your OB of this although I wouldn't become too concerned. Also, time them and if they are 5 minutes apart your OB may advise you to go to L&D to get medication to make them stop. If it's more than 5 minutes apart you should be fine but definitely call your OB just to be sure.

I started BH at 17-18 weeks. If they start increasing in intensity and frequency then you should call your dr!

I am 24 weeks and I am also having BH it started about 3 weeks ago and the doc said my body propably knows what its doing since this is #3

I got them early with this pregnancy too. My doctor said not to worry as long as I wasn't having more than 6 an hour. Try drinking more water. A lot of times they're caused by dehydration.
