They deposited my check...but where's the contract???
I see that my checking account is less the down payment $$, but we never even received an acknowlegement from the seller that they signed the contract (we signed on Tuesday, had some changes made, and haven't heard from them since my lawyer sent them the contracts last week).
We called our attorney and he says that that is an indication that the contract is signed....WELL, THEN WHERE THE H*LL IS MY CONTRACT!!!
I think these people are more determined now more than ever to make my life crazy!!!

It's gonna be ok... breathe, breathe. That check is in the attorney's account correct? Did you make it our to the seller's attorney? It stays in their attorney's account until closing. The seller doesn't see any money until then. At least that's what happened the several times DH and I bought and sold.

The check still gets cashed and deposited in an escrow bank account.
What good is a check that is never cashed?

LOLOLOL.yes that is true... but do they actually deposit it WITHOUT both sides signing the contract!
That is odd to me.

ahhhhhhhh........I feel a bit better now, but to put it mildly, the communication ***** big time between us, our attorney, and the sellers attorney.
I know that the money is in an escrow account, but they should at least let our attorney know that the contracts were signed!!
whew....this is just the beginning!!

i could understand your situation...
We were on our honeymoon when we signed our contracts. (we were away for 2 weeks) We got back and called our lawyer. There was no way of contacting us and owners went with a different offer after we made arrangments to go forward. Not sure why adults can't talk to each other these days... We were enjoying the sun being married thinking when we got back, we would own somthing
and our closing...thats another good story about lack of commincation
