Picture Cufflink Question...
I'm thinking about getting the picture cufflinks from red envelope (locket-style). My question is- where can I get pictures shrunk down to such a tiny size to fit into them? Do I just bring my prints into a specialty photo shop? Any help would be appreciated, I want to know there is a local place that does this before I order these. TIA.

Re: Picture Cufflink Question...
My friend used the picture from the "index" card that you receive when printing out the pictures at a store. She used it for a locket.

Re: Picture Cufflink Question...
Good idea, except the cufflinks look like they require a vertical pic, those index pics are usually horizontal, hmmm... Anyone else have ideas on how to do this? Can you shrink a picture down for this sort of thing?

For stuff like that, I use Microsoft Word. Import the picture, then just grab a corner and scale it down until it matches the size you need. You can use the ruler on the top and bottom to see exactly what size it will be.

Re: Picture Cufflink Question...
I did this. I scanned the picture into my computer (it was old, not digital) and then used a photo program to shrink it down, and printed it our on photo paper. worked great!

I do so much photo manipulations, I wind up using half a dozen tools. People always ask me what the "best" tool is for doing something. I always say "It depends". Something like this is way too simple for Photoshop or GIMP. Yes, they can definitely do it, but it's like trying to kill an ant with a shotgun.
