So mad at ebay seller UPDATE

UPDATE: So I filed a complaint with paypal to get my money back. They don't know if they could get me full refund so I do it through my cc company. I send the club back and the seller receives it today. I get an email from paypal saying seller refunds all your money. Ok great! 2 minutes later I get an email from ebay stating that I still have to pay for this item and I have until April 14 to do so or I get a no pay strike. 3 mins after that I get a notice saying I got the no pay strike on my account. I am livid. So back to disputing. Of course I gave him neg. feedback. Dumb a**!



My husband wanted a golf trainer club. On ebay they had what he wanted but on right handed. I emailed the seller asking if he had lefty. He said yes and when I purchase it, make sure I note that I want the lefty. So when I make the purchase I put in the note to seller area that I wanted the lefty and I emailed him earlier. We receive the right handed one. This was $99 plus $20 shipping. I email the guy letting him know. He says I didin't put the note. I go and check and I see the note. Ebay sees the note. The guy said I was suppose to do it when I paid. I thought that's what I did. I said he is still responsible because he is the seller and should have checked the note. I am fuming. Now I have to do a dispute. How aggravating

honestly- that note area is usless- I don't print invoices from paypal- only ebay- and they only time you see the note is if you use the paypal shipping- which I don't

I had a customer once write in that area if I could rush it- and I didn't see it

I would have sent a separate message confirming it with him

It was in the ebay area. As a seller, did you correct the error or say it wasn't your fault. Just because you don't look at it, I still did what was asked. Honestly I didn't see the area at paypal.

it doesn't show up in ebay- only in paypal - even though you write it in ebay- it's not like it sends the seller a message

yes- I refunded her the shipping- I always stand behind my lisiting and my products

why can't he just exchange this one for the correct one- just like a store- you send it back- he sends you the new one

why go thru a dispute- it will take weeks to get your money back

I don't understand why it would have note to seller if they can't see it. The guy on ebay chat was able to see it and said i was in the right. The Seller won't exchange it. Thats all i wanted. Right away he took an attitude. Poor business. Now I have to dispute it. Then I'll call my credit card company.

I would happily take it back and send you the correct one- rather then lose the sale

I don't get people

once you call your CC company - the paypal dispute gets canceled- and honestly- you might not win the dispute thru paypal- technically he sent you the item in the listing

they will side with the seller in some cases- it's rare but this sounds like one

I would call your CC right away and do a dispute with them- with Amex if you send the item back and provide a tracking - you get your money back

once you call your CC compnay- the dispute thru paypal becomes invalid

I did call my cc company. They said let it play out through paypal. The charge hasn't shown up on my statement yet. They said even if paypay sides with the seller I can still dispute the payment. I am so angry. I can also dispute it through ebay. There I know I will win because the guy through live chat told me I was in the right and I printed it out.

I have never heard of an ebay dispute-

they only way to get your money back is a paypal dispute

I would tell the seller you are going to do that unless he let's you exchange it

and say you are going to leave bad feedback

That's BS!! I can understand that maybe the seller does a lot of business and mostly looks at the paypal notes but if I relied on paypal notes only, I'd make it double clear to the buyer. Most buyers would probably do the same thing as you. Besides that, who the heck doesn't make good on something like that? Actually I know who...a lot of bigger sellers - stores that use ebay to reach more people - do this. My brother is having a problem right now with an ebay seller. He's so mad bc they're not making good on it either like they should.

I sell a ton of stuff- and I can not believe this guy

I want all these sellers off ebay! they make it harder for the rest of us

I would have already sent her the correct one- at my cost!

I emailed him one last time asking if he wanted to send me a lefty club and pay for shipping and shipping on the right hand club that I will send back to him. I told him otherwise I am taking it up with my credit card company. I also told h im I will be giving him neg. feedback. He told me he will do the same for me. I don't buy alot so it doesn't affect me. The guy who helped me at onlive chat told me a could file a dispute through ebay. He even told me how to do it. Under dispute console under my account. My husband was looking forward to getting this too. Felt bad.
