Ebay members please come in. Need advice!
My sister sold her first item yesterday. She calls me last night and tells me that the buyer who won the item sent her an e-mail saying that she had already won another auction for the same item that my sister was selling for less $$$ and if my sister can offer the item to the next highest bidder (there were 20 bids on this item). The buyer also stated that she thought she was outbid until she received notification from ebay that she won my sister's item. I didn't know what to say at first. I told her that the buyer needs to pay. It just sounds too complicated if she offers it to the next highest bidder and my sister is too new at this. What should she do? TIA!

ok- your sister needs to send a second chance offer to the next higest bidder
and then in 7 days rport the item as unpaid to ebay to get her money back for the final value fee
or she can just relist the item and start over
but she will still have to report this person as unpaid in order to get her money back

If we send a second chance offer to the next highest bidder and they are not interested should we still demand for payment or should we just report them to e-bay unpaid and leave a negative feedback for this person?

if she isn't going to pay- she isn't going to pay - I get 1 or 2 people like this a month
at least she told your sister- I have many people not respond at all
it's not worth the aggrevation- just relist the item and report her to ebay- she will get an unpaid strike- and you can only get 3 of those before you are kicked off
