feeling guilty...dad's doctor
so i'm feeling guilty because i called my dad's doctor to talk about how my dad has been doing. he has an appointment tomorrow and i can't be there and i know he won't discuss his anxiety problem. he's getting worse since we're selling the house. he's not sleeping and he constantly worries. i talked to the doctor to see if he could put him on something and approach the subject without him finding out i called. was that okay to do? should i have not interfered? my sister and i are just so worried.

Re: feeling guilty...dad's doctor
I think it's perfectly fine and I do it for my parents.
I don't know if it's right or wrong for me to do this, but I feel that sometimes you need to do something.

Re: feeling guilty...dad's doctor
i did this last week or so for DH's doc appointment. I couldn't make it and I felt that the doctor needed to get a full picture on how DH was feeling. I am glad I did

Re: feeling guilty...dad's doctor
I think it's perfectly ok to do. My mom has to do it with my grandparents all the time. Sometimes my grandmother doesn't "want to bother the doctor".
