Question about prenatals

So I was mad that I have to pay $50 every month for my prenatals and did some research om my insurance's website and discovered a mail order program where they would cost my only $3 each month for the same exact vitamins!!!

The thing is that I just ran out of my monthly supply and wont received my new prescription until the end of next week...

Should I just go and refill my prescription at the pharmacy for $50 or can I be without the vitamins for a week and wait for the order to come in?...How bad is it not to take the prenatals for 10 days??!!!

I am not saying this is hte right thing to do, but I will say there were times when I would forget for up to 5 days straight to take my pills. Its not the end of the world.

However if I were in your shoes I would probably get it filled for $50 this month and then do the by mail in the future.

Ask your pharmacy if you can fill just 10 days worth of your prescription instead of a whole month.

It will cost you 1/4 of the amount and it's well worth taking the vitamins!

I would give your Doctor a call. I mean I would love to save all that money if all possible.. Your doctor might be able to give you some samples to get you threw until you get your mail in????

yeah, I would call my OB and ask for some samples to hold me over. congrats on really saving the $!

call your doctor but i was so sick during my pregnancy i didnt take one vitamin ever

Yeah...just called the pharmacy and they're giving me a 10 day supply for $10!!!
