Do you think that maybe we have too much knowledge/information
From HPTs to the internet, do you think that maybe there is just too much out there. Back when our parents were pregnant, they didn't know until they had missed two periods. The rate of mc is higher now because of HPTs and early sonograms. When our moms were pregnant there was none of that. They wouldn't even know if they had an early miscarriage, they would think it was a late or heavy period.
Sometimes I am thankful that we can know all these things, but sometimes I think its just too much info I would be better off without.

I dont think the rate of m/cs are higher. I just think they are now detectable.
I also think that too much knowledge can be a huge curse and not as much of a blessing. Having had IF issues, doing what I do for a living, having the educational background that I have and a family history of problems in pregnancies and births, it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to enjoy my pregnancy the way I should be in peace. I am ALWAYS waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Yes this is what I meant. That women are still having the same # of miscarriages but before they didn't know it.
I am sorry you are not able to enjoy your pregnancy like you should be able to. I know what you mean though. When I am pregnant again I am going to be downright terrified until I pass the point I did with this past pregnancy, and I know I will continue to be nervous even after that.

Thanks. Its a day by day, moment to moment thing. Im hoping it will subside. but with each milestone covered, in my case, new ones replace them. I just have to be prepared with faith and hope.

Re: Do you think that maybe we have too much knowledge/information
It was hard for me to respond to this post! I think there's never too much knowledge when it comes to my body... but that being said, if I had ever experienced a m/c I would definitely feel different about this. Hearing so many stories on here makes me so nervous that if I ever do get my BFP that I'll be really nervous until that 'safe' point also... though I was told from day 1 I'd be seeing a high risk dr. b/c of PCOS, so I always knew this would be a long and hard road, even after I get my BFP.
I have to think that all in all, all of that knowledge is good for us, especially while TTC. Though I don't smoke, or drink, or do other recreational activities- more than once on the TTC board and on here I've heard, ok- BFN now I can go out and have a few drinks... whereas when we finally do get our BFPs, (hopefully) we'll do everything that we can right for our babies, KWIM? This is such a loaded question, because there's so many angles that could be 'right'... if that makes any sense.
