Karacg's Thursday AM Gerty Update
Just saw it on the PG board:
THURSDAY UPDATE:
Went to see Gerty around 8pm - Donna (dm24angel) was visiting and seemed to have been keeping Gerty giggling -- great!!
She will have an ultrasound today. The neonatologist doesn't think she is dilated much, but it is hard to get an acurate reading because of the sack being in the way. If this is true, her chances are better of holding onto the baby.
She was 22 weeks yesterday so every day longer Rogan stays put is closer to their goal of a healthy baby.
She's on colace (for those who were wondering and I know a few were) and they are keeping her on antibiotics. They will start giving her steroids for the baby when he becomes viable.
Gerty is in good spirits, considering she is inverted. I stayed so her DH could go home and sleep in his own bed last night. Her sister came at 11pm to stay the night with her.
Gerty's eyes teared up when I told her about everyones' FM and posts, and about the avatar crusade. She says it's been working so far, thank you all so much.
Oh and PS nothing she needs or wants right now. Maybe as time goes on she'll think of something but for now she is well-stocked with mags, books, Easter baskets, candy, cinnamon buns, flowers..you name it, she's got it.
YEAH GERTY AND ROGAN!!! Keep strong!!!
