"Friends" and their excuses...
I love how we go to everoyne else's events but certain people always have an excuse as to why they can't come to ours.
DS's 1st b-day is in 2 weeks. DH called one of his "best" friends today to find out if he was coming b/c he and his wife hadn't RSVP'd. He said "doubt it. I have the flu and dont want to get anyone sick"...ummm...the party is not for another 2 weeks but nice try. This is the not the first time he has done this. DH told me not to even invite him to anything anymore. He has been MIA since he got married which is strange b/c when he was dating his wife we all used to go out together.

Re: "Friends" and their excuses...
I had a friend miss my son's first and second birthday. The reason?
She was tired.

I would definitely leave them off future invite lists.

I know how you feel. Those are the people you need to write off.... it's sad, but obviously they aren't going to change.

So sorry that happened. I wouldn't even invite them to anything.
