Sciatica?
I spoke too soon, i'm 31 weeks and was feeling fabulous until Friday..i developed a pain right above my butt check and it hurts and makes walking difficult.
Am i going to have the for the rest of the pregnancy????? I will just die if that's the case...I commute into manhattan and have a long walk every day....I still have 7 work weeks left. Somebody please tell me that this pain will go away...

Re: Sciatica?
I know how you feel..the pain lasted from my 13th week up until the 20 something week.. went away for a bit and now im 26 weeks and this past week i've had it again. Maybe try to go for a prenatal massage.. that seemed to have helped me for a bit.. and sleep with a pillow between your legs if you don't already!

Re: Sciatica?
Mine started a couple of weeks ago and it's REALLY bad. I have a really difficult time commuting and unfortunately am told it won't go away until baby comes. My MD is considering inducing me next week b/c of the pain.

Re: Sciatica?
I got it 4 weeks ago and it seems to have gone away completely this week. If it's really bad, then I recommend going to a physical therapist who specializes in sciatica. I've been going three times a week for the last few weeks and it has made a tremendous difference. It took the edge of the pain.

Re: Sciatica?
thanks everyone. I am praying that this pain doesn't last for the remainder of the pregnancy. Seriously it hurts to walk. NOT GOOD. Getting to work is the hardest part, since my commute involves a 25 minute walk....I may have to start taking cabs.

Re: Sciatica?
I've had it for 7 months now, the best advise I can give it stretch it out. It will help.
