My DH has GOT to be kidding me
He tells me he wants to be surprised. I do not. He's not telling me not find out, he just doens't want to know! He thinks I can know and just not tell him! Is he serious?!?!?! I think he is doing it just to test me and drive me batty. I do not see the humor in that at all. Has anyone done this???? How am I supposed to set up the room?

My opinion on this is when the man gets to push an 8 pound sack of potatos through his penis,THEN he can call the shots in regards to finding out the sex.

with #1- we found out b/c i felt the same way. With #2- i didnt want to knwo but DH and DD did. I had them write it on a peice of paper. I ended up cheating the next day and finding out, but thats always an option. If there is a 3rd- it will be a definite suprise.

We decided a long time ago that we wanted to know. I already had enough surprises in my process. If he didnt want to know, Id still find out and not tell him. As far as setting up the room goes, thats a tough one. I wish I had an answer for that. UNLESS you buy bedding and decorations for both genders, make sure of the return policy and just return what you don't use after the baby is born - assuming of course that your paint job is a neutral color.

My SIL & BIL had a freind who did this. The wife wanted to know but the husband didn't. It actually worked for them. She was good to, when asked about names she gave both name ideas without leaning towards a particular sex. She did all the shopping and getting ready stuff and left it at her moms until the baby was born.
Personally, I'm not sure I could do it.

DH & I decided together to be surprised, then I found out by accident. He found out we were having a girl when my OB said "it's a girl" in the delivery room.
As for the room, DH & I had decided on a Bambi theme before I found out and there was no reason to change. There are pics HERE

From the moment we found out we were expecting I called the baby "she" and DH called the baby "he" and that never changed. Then my mother nicknamed the baby "Jake" so we used that.
ETA: I took a poll on here when I accidentally found out about whether or not to tell DH. I did tell him I knew and he said he didn't want to know. He asked once or twice after that but I didn't tell him - he even asked when we were waiting for the OR to be ready for the c-section!  He of course told the entire world that I knew but that he didn't.

If he does not find out, there is no point in you finding out probably. Because you can not register for blue or pink and you can not do the room. I say either get him to cave or take the ride with him!

I think he knows the end result will be him finding out too.  He does not want to register so I am doing with with my mom and I figured I would just try to hide everything. He's such a PITA!

dh said he didnt want to know at the beginning, i said too bad so sad i always wanted to know and i would respect his wishes of not knowing.....nursery was going to be unisex anyway.....but he then started saying that no one else should know bla bla bla....i just heard him speak and didnt even entertain the fight......finally after the ultrascreen he said ok i wanna know when do we find out i think it was driving him crazy that i wouldnt entertain the argument bc i was sick of it

DH and I had the same argument in the beginning.
Truthfully I don't know how one person can know and not slip with the other.
It would really mean that you couldn't tell anyone else in case they slipped and that you couldn't buy gender specific stuff or decorate the room, and then what's the point?
In the end, DH caved, and we found out. I don't think he regrets it all.

DH didn't want to know.
This was what we decided. I said we can not find out for the next one but you have to carry the baby for nine months and give birth.

I have to be honest- thats a little bit of a head game if you ask me. I mean, what if you slip? Will he get mad at you for "spoiling" his surprise?
IF you really want to know- tell him too friggin bad and that you'll be registering and decorating accordingly. It will be a long pregnancy with him walking around with his eyes closed and ears plugged.
