2 days down, 4 more to go
So the first night was rough. I felt so sad without DH there. Even though mom stayed with me (I think Dad enjoyed the bed all to himself), I still felt lonely and missed DH's presence next to me.
Last night I was so exhausted I slept well. Mom and I chatted like it was a slumber party and then I drifted off to sleep.
Tonight I will stay over at my parents' house.
I spoke to DH and he is not having the best time visiting his brother. I think his business trip may be better than his family visit I can't wait for him to come home!

 yes. Horribly. I have always been like that. When I was in college, I used to hate when my roommate (Gatsbygirl) wasn't there. The few times my parents went away when I was living home, I would stay up and do things until I was exhausted and couldn't keep my eyes open and I knew I would fall asleep quickly.
I know it is not a good thing to be so scared but I don't know how to fix it

A lot of my friends are the same way, and I am too. If DH is out late or away from home at night, I sleep with the TV on and keep the phone by the bed. I hate being alone too, esp. now with DD, I'm even more anxious.
ETA: Oh, and I keep a few lights on in the house (ok, a lot  ), not only so people outside can see them on and think I'm awake & there's a lot of people here  , but also so I can see what's happening when I'm trying to sleep.

I dont even think about it until it's time for bed. Then i leave all the lights on and the TV..the neighbors must think Im nuts...thank goodness their our friends!!!!

Okay, so I don't feel so dorky now that I know that others feel the same way. I HATE being alone at night. And with DD I definitely didn't want to be alone. I think if she was older and I could just tell her she could sleep in the big bed with mommy, I might feel a little better, but she is still a baby and has been trying to cut new teeth and sometimes has trouble at night so I really wanted backup.
Thanks for supporting me through this. I know it is not much for some people who enjoy their alone time, but this is BIG for me. I am at my parents' house now. It is so weird to be in my pj's here Like a kid again.
