A bakery. I'd be the main baker and I'd hire people to bake with me. It would be a cute little cafe where people could sit with their laptops and enjoy coffee and pie.

a TRUE NY deli down here in GA
DH has always wanted to a specialty livery service with retro cars (not the classy ones, more like the retro/cheesy ones like VW)
and aim it at teens/college kids making it an alternative to limos

A bookstore with a tiny little coffee area. Wooden floors, tin ceilings, jazz...read to kids on saturday mornings.

A children's bookshop.... like meg Ryan's character in "You've Got Mail." I would have story time and activities as well as selling books and educational toys.
I love that movie and totally agree -- that would be a dream.

I have toyed with the idea of opening a cafe/bookshop. It would cater to the stroller crowd. We would do readings of children's books, siminars on things like planning for college etc. and we would sell homemade organic babyfood along with salads, sandwiches, quiche and sweets.

I am in the process now if doing both...
one is a cool children's site called Max and jake still under construction-cool clothing...organic shampoos and products...baby slings-all diff stuff-still not done buying and deciding...
peanutbutterandjellies.com-still under construction with pics-
chocolate pops---centerpieces---mini wedding cakes gourmet cupcakes, things chocolate dipped u never thought of, favors...
gourmet icecream to close clients...etc.
I also but not affiliated with the site---cater and party plan
ultimate dream?
a cool 50's place with a striped pink and white awning-old fashioned eggcreams and floats--awesome hamburgers, my pies and cakes, muffins...old spin stools and jukebox
chicks on rollerskates.

I already do it as a side business from my house from April to October, but I would love to open a car detailing shop. I would do car detailing, Oil Changes, and stereo systems etc...
