Give me everything you got....
I'm 4 days from due date...as of my last appointment I am not dilating.
I'm dead tired ...sleep is non existent..I really wanted to work until the end but I can't function on no sleep..so I'm going to make tomorrow my last day. (due date is Monday)
I would love to have our baby this weekend so that I have the whole time I'm off with our little one.
So girls...give me everything you have heard of to bring on labor....
I'm already having s3x, walking, and my mom is making me ginger tea (because that's what she heard works in our country)

squats 50-100 per day. I just finished doing 20 squats when my water broke. Also walk walk walk walk walk. Go to the park and walk

noooo don't do this it causes the bad kind of contractions that don't start regular labor!
ETA: it makes your uterus cramp in a way that's not productive and can stress the baby.
"Nipple Stimulation - nipple stimulation can be a very powerful way of inducing labor. Nipple stimulation causes the body to release oxytocin, which like pitocin (a synthetic substance used to induce labor contractions) can cause uterine contractions. Nipple stimulation can lead to very long and very strong uterine contractions. This can be dangerous for your baby because it can cause your baby's heart rate to slow. "

The web in between your index finger and thumb is a pressure point that is supposed to bring on contractions. Keep rubbing it. It should feel a little sore when rubbing it. I have heard that it works. Good Luck!!!

You are tooo funny. I've been googling away on natural methods of inducing labor since Monday. Here is some new ones:
Meditate and visual the cervix opening (probably the most out there but also the cheapest )
Sit on one of those big pilates balls and roll around and bounce on it. (I was doing this last night since I already have one)
Acupuncture (I do know someone in Huntington - he charges about $80/session - maybe he'd give us a 2 for 1 deal???)
Acupressure - have dh press on certain points - I haven't gotten too far in the search but you could probably find something if you google.
Walking: I tried doing this on Tuesday and 20 minutes later all I had was exhaustion and a sore back...
Chinese food - Lets go to a hibachi steakhouse! Worked for a friend.
Jumbalaya worked for another friend - I guess that counts as spicy food?
I added tobasco to my rice and beans last night but DH said I didn't add enough... I hate spicy spicy food.
FYI: Tomorrow is my official last day too. I reaally hope we see each other at hospital this weekend - for both our sakes!

I was looking into natural ways to induce labor because I want to have a VBAC. One way is acupuncture. This is one point they use to induce naturally. Acupressure is the same thing but with out the needles.

Thanks...we are so on the same page!!!! I'll pray for you and you pray for me as we try all of these methods :)
I don't like spicy food...PERIOD...that's the only one that I am going to have a hard time with...my mom gave me ginger tea because its kind of spicy...I'm dealing with it.

i have heard eggplant parm (or anything that cleans out your system), walking, evening primrose oil, accupuncture, and BD. especially the last one, because sperm contains prostglandins (sp?).

It's too cold, but I was playing miniature golf the night before DS was born.
I ate a ton of watermelon, too.
