Dress - Yay or Nay?
DH and I were invited to a Saturday night charity event by my boss.
It is called the "ABC Charity Gala". I am not sure how formal a Gala is...? I tried to search online for the Charity and am coming up with nothing...
ETA: I spoke with my boss and she said a little black dress would be appropriate. So I am thinking it doesn't have to be long...
Do you think this dress would be appropriate?
I have something like this at home already except mine has a broach at the bottom of the V... Could I get away with this one too? (I just don't know if I want to be sleeveless)...

tough call, but I think #1 is NOT what I think of when I think "gala" dress.
I usually think LONG/black tie
since my boss invited me, I'd make sure to pick something simple in a simple color and nicely constructed, yet not too attention grabbing sillouette.

I like the first one a lot.. but you really need to find out how dressy it is.. if it's a fancier event, then I def. like the first and second one of the longer dresses posted

I agree with the PP. Gala to me would mean black tie or at least formal long gown.
