I worked for Spitzer and am some what surprised....
When I was in college I worked for his first campaign for Attorney General. I was the receptionist in his office. He was very meek and polite. His wife and daughters were wonderful!
However, politics change people. Power changes people. Extremely wealthy, pushy fathers who want their son to be president change people!
When running he had very good ideas for New York but like most politicians, he soon learned to play the game and unfortunately, he got caught!
