Vaccinations?
Milo went to the vet today for his yearly check up and received 2 vaccinations. He has not been acting himself at all today. He is moving really slow, seems very very sleepy, he is not climbing up and down stairs very much either. He has hardly eaten or drank anything all day. He also normally hangs out with me or sits in my lap while I am sitting on the couch. Instead, he has mainly been sitting in his cage---which he never does ---or sitting in his bed on the first floor. Is this normal behavior or should I call the vet ????

Re: Vaccinations?
Give the vet a call to be on the safe side. I have heard of animals getting lethargic after vaccination, but I would just check and make sure because your little guy definitely does not seem like himself. Keep us posted

Re: Vaccinations?
I did call the vet. They said it could just be a reaction to the shots. They told me to give him a baby aspirin and if he is not back to his "normal" self by tomorrow then to call them again. Thank you

Re: Vaccinations?
Good to know about the baby aspirin. That happened to my dog once but the following years he was fine when he got the shots. I think it was the Lyme shot. He was like an old man in slow motion. He is due again for shots in April.
