Totally OUT of it...
I feel totally and completely in a DAZE at all times - I can't focus, I feel just OUT of it - always! Why is this?? What can I do to feel SHARPER? I feel like a dingbat! Is there a vitamin I can take? Does anyone else ever feel like this?
I mean, I have allergies but I usually feel different with allergies like it is more congestion than anything else -- with this I just feel disconnected and tired most of the time when I get plenty of sleep.
What gives??

Re: Totally OUT of it...
could you have an iron deficiency?
from http://www.umm.edu/blood/aneiron.htm
What are the symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia?
The following are the most common symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include:
-abnormal paleness or lack of color of the skin -irritability -lack of energy or tiring easily (fatigue) -increased heart rate (tachycardia) -sore or swollen tongue -enlarged spleen -a desire to eat peculiar substances such as dirt or ice (a condition called pica)
(Obviously, not all symptoms need to be present)
You may want to take a vitamin with iron in it.
Feel better.

These two made me LOL!!!!
I'm like the palest person on earth but I've always been that way - but maybe it is worse b/c of this??
And a desire to eat DIRT just made me laugh in general b/c that is a little scary hahaahahaa - I've never wanted to eat dirt but I DO enjoy ice cubes when done with my soda.
I'm going to go to my general doc and ask about this - my friend said there is a test to see if I have it.
Thank you!

Re: Totally OUT of it...
I felt like this a couple of years ago - always tired, no matter how much sleep I got. It was a few months before my wedding, and everyone was telling me it was stress, but it turns out I had mono. Def. go get checked out by your doctor.

That one was weird to me too- the only time I've heard of that is being associated with Autism so I
No one I know with anemia eats dirt.

oh god - i had something very similar to that and epstein/barr in high school. it was miserable and took weeks to get back to normal... i'm def going to see my general prac and check out what in the H E L L is going on w/ me lol. there are times i have to literally FORCE myself to get out of bed - like my WHOLE body just aches and doesn't want to MOVE. at first i just thought i was being lazy lol then i realized it is prob something more.
thanks!

I had this fatigue thing a few years ago too. I went to the doctor thinking I had mon or epstein barr it turned out I didn't have any of them. The doc said maybe you are just tired from working so much. I was working 65 hours a week and on the go constantly. He basically said the week was catching up with me. Maybe you are just tired from so much work.
Now I have no idea what my excuse is just laziness and boredom. I have been eating dirt though I like my dirt mixed with ice a nice muddy slushie helps me pass the days.
"I once thought I had mono for an entire year, It turned out I was just really bored."
