Spinoff to Scholastic post..
I work in a school. I do not have my own classroom, but am constantly buying books for work. How could scholastic work for me? Or do I need the kids to get me discounts?
Thanks for the info..
ETA: Is it cheaper to just order off of amazon?

No, you do not need to kids to order. I was a para before becoming a teacher, and I set up an account then. By the time I was teaching I had a couple of hundred books.
Just call them, or I believe you can set up an account online.

Re: Spinoff to Scholastic post..
But it is discounted? Do I earn free books? What are the incentives?
I think teachers can order books for free if their class purchases enough books....

I seem to recall that there are freebies for teachers but I don't remember the specifics.

Re: Spinoff to Scholastic post..
Yes, it's discounted compared to amazon or other book stores. You will earn bonus points, which in return you can use for free books, supplies, etc. So let's say you spend $15 in books, they usually have double or triple bonus points, you will earn 30 points(if doubled) or 45 (if tripled). Along with that incentive, once every couple of months they will throw in 2 free books, each month, there is something else.
Also, in the September with your first order of $20 or more they gave me coupons. $10 in free books, for Oct-May. That alone adds up to $70 in free book picks. However, you will need to spend at least $20 each month to redem that coupon. But if you're ordering books frequently, it is def worth it.
I hope this makes sense
