Help for anyone confused about effacement
I was just talking about effacement and dilation and realized I wasn't 100% clear on what exactly effacement was. But, I found this great graphic that totally makes it clear so I thought I'd share. So, just in case anyone else was confused here you go....

Thanks - that helps. My MD told me tonight that I'm 90% if not fully effaced and at least 1cm - now I can see it
