Sad for the US
I left my iTunes playing while I was getting ready and when I got back it was on Al Gore's speech at the 2004 DNC.
I am just really sad because it is 4 years later and the things he said could have been said today, lives lost in Iraq with no way out, a suffering economy and millions of jobs lost, environment being destroyed. Honestly he could make the same exact speech today.
I don't mean this to say that democrats have all of the answers, but Al Gore is a well respected figure well beyond the democratic party.
I just feel like we are so much worse off than we were 4 years ago, and I really don't want to be saying that again in 2012.
I just hope that whoever is elected can turn this country around.

Wow I dont think I heard his speech then, but thats very interesting and yes lets hope whoever becomes president and vice president can help turn us around.

I am incredbly nerdy and have the DNC speeches on my iPod.
Incidentally this is when I fell in love with Barack Obama and said "That man will someday be President of the United States"
