My hands are killing me

I am wondering if this is pregnancy-related. I know some women get carpal tunel, but I don't think that is what I am feeling. My fingers are so stiff and sore and my middle finger is worst. THis feeling moves into my palm a little bit too. And the weirdest part... when I make a fist (it hurts) and then open my hand, all my fingers open except my middles... then they kind of snap up.

Is this carpal tunel? Does anyone think it's pg-related? I'm going to the dr tomorrow, but thought I'd ask here, too.

I get sore hands daily too - I think it has to do with fluid retention. They feel like I've been in a fist fight.

sounds like carpel tunnel to me- go and get yourself those wrist splints and use them whenever you are sleeping, typing or really using your hands a lot.

edited to say it is called pregnancy induced carpel tunnel syndrome- the fluid retention aggravates the nerve

I had this as well. My hands were in pain to point it hurt to write . I had HBP though so I was extra swollen

My hands are constantly tingling...its getting worse as my due date approaches.... Sorry its happening to you too -

OMG I completely feel your pain! My hands are constantly tingling, completely numb, tight or just in pain. It's worst when I sleep or write. Doc said it was normal for some.

Thanks for the feedback. It's amazing how many changes your body goes through with pregnancy!
