Inflation
This morning they were talking about how wheat is now going up and a plain bagel costs an average of $1.00.
What is going on in the world and how are we supposed to keep up?
Sorry for the rant but it's just all getting to be too much. Gas, oil, milk, now wheat

Putting on my economist hat for a minute...
Alot of what we will be seeing with grains, vegetables, etc. is a direct result of polticians pushing ethanol.
Farmers have a HUGE financial incentive now to grow nothing but corn to make this "alternative fuel". They are switching away from other crops, especially wheat, and we are feeling the crunch.
My husband (also an Economist) and I have been ranting about what a bad idea ethanol is for months and how expensive food is going to get. No one has believed us. I swear, its true! 
Oil, on the otherhand, is another demon in itself....
