I'm NEW and need help =)
Hello ladies. I'm new to this chat site, so let me start by saying "hi"! I am newly preggo and a little clueless about all this. Happy as anything, but I just realized that I'm not so happy with my gyno practice!
I am looking for OB/GYN recommendations. I don't mean to sound picky, but I do prefer female doctors.
I currently use an office that has SO MANY doctors, and quite frankly I feel like a number and like I don't count. 
Maybe that's the pregnancy talking. Over sensitive these days. However, the first thing they did was call in the wrong pre-natal vitamins AFTER not congratulating me on getting preggo.  A few other things bothered me...let' just say I'm going to go with my gut. Not happy with the practice.
Anyway, any recommendations would be great. I work in the Huntington area, but would prefer a doc a little further east. I live out near Port Jeff.

Hi,
Congrats :) When I lived with my parents, I used to go to Dr. Dina Weiss. They have an office in Smithtown and an office in Stony Brook. I liked her...Just moved to Nassau! Also, go with ur gut. I changed practices in the beginning and it was the best thing I could do!

Congrats!!!!
I use Dr. Gerry Ninia... It's Him, a NP and a PA I love them all! I see the NP and she is soooo WONDERFUL! They make you feel like you are important!!! Any time I have a question they are there for me! He is in Port Jefferson right on 347 down the road a bit from staples...

I go to three village women's health (in the office complex behind wild by nature). they have lots of dr's, but when you book appt's you can select to see a specific dr. Also most the dr's are female.

Congrats and welcome!
I know you said you were looking for recommendations further east than Huntington, but since you work in Huntington I figured I'd tell you mine anyway. Dr. Elisa Felsen-Singer in the Huntington Medical Group has been wonderful. There are 3 other doctors in the practice (1 female, 2 males) but I've only seen her throughout my pregnancy. Good luck!

I go to them as well. I really like Dr. Kaelber and Dr. Soviero.

Hi,
I have a really good practice. It is only 1 Dr. and 2 midwives. The Dr. is a male Dr. San Roman but both midwives are females. They are so warm and give you a hug every time you go in. They also take the time to sit and explain everything to you. I was with another practice that was too big and I was referred to them by several people.
They are in Port Jeff Station on 347.
