Heart Palpitations?
I know the increase in blood volume can bring this, but the last few days make me feel so anxious, because I am getting so many heart palpitations.
I am 36weeks, anyone else getting this?
My BP is usually low, been in the 90s/50s.
I go to the OB tuesday and I will mention it, but the feeling makes me so unesasy.

Re: Heart Palpitations?
I had this last week and I went to L & D. When I got there my pulse was high and blood pressure was high for me. It did go down to my normal, but ever since then I still feel my heart pounding away at times.
They also ran blood tests, urine and an EKG all which came back normal. They did say that I was slightly dehydrated though. The doc said it could totally have been "normal" pregnancy symptoms due to increased blood volume. The nurse also said she had it during her pregnancy too. Just let your doc know but I am sure it's nothing.

Re: Heart Palpitations?
Everything I read said it's normal, unless I get dizzy or faint. It's just so uncomfortable and scary. I am glad I go to the OB tuesday!!!

Re: Heart Palpitations?
I had this during my first pregnancy...it happened earlier though...I saw a cardiologist and wore a heart monitor for 30 days!...they told me it is common among pregnant women and that if it lasted more than 5 minutes to go to the ER immediately...it disappeared after I gave birth and hasn't returned

same thing happened to me during my 1st pregnancy. I want to say it happened early in my 2nd trimester. I also wore a monitor but only for a week. I've had no problems since.

Re: Heart Palpitations?
I had to go on medication because of this. I had palpitations with dizziness and I felt faint and short of breath. I wore various monitors during and after the pregnancy and I saw a cardiologist and 2 heart rhythm specialists (cardiologist referred me). I hated having so many appointments but I was really suffering before I was put on medication. BTW, my blood pressure would drop when my heart rate went up. That was somewhat healthy but it complicated my treatment because the medications caused a further drop in blood pressure. If you think there is a problem, get help for it. My OB did not think it was going to turn into anything severe when I first complained of it.
ETA:: I see you are late into the pregnancy. I doubt you will need meds for it if you have not until now. Feel better.
