Ob/Gyn in Smithtown, Dr.Birnbaum

Has anyone heard of Dr. Eliot Birnbaum in Smithown? If yes can you tell me anything about him...do you know anyone that he delivered? Thanks for the help.

He used to part of Halpert and Sommers (Personal Woman's care). I saw him there several times. I found him very calming. In fact I saw him on most of my emergency appointments and he was wonderful and understanding. He never made me feel like I was being a hysterical pregnant woman. He delivered my friend's son and I know she was very happy with him. I saw him in the hospital just prior to his leaving the practice on day 2 or 3 of my stay. I think he's great. Honestly the only reason I didn't follow him was that I adore Dr. Sommers and they are closer. But if Dr.Sommers left the practice I would not hesitate to switch to Brinbaum. I really liked him.
