I just got told off....
... my girlfriend who I really haven't talked to in over a year found me on AIM and told me off that she didn't get an invite to my shower and gave up waiting so she bought theater tickets for that day.. Don't know who she talked to and found out the date.. I didn't know she even knew I was pregnant..
 Wierd.

I don't understand how anyone could be angry at the guest of honor. You are probably better off that she won't be there so you can enjoy your day.

I thought people are glad when they don't get invited to a shower. Personally - I don't care for them. I'm reallly on the fence about having one.
I wouldn't worry about it.

I think she is making a mountain out of a mole hill. And if she knew you were preggers when was she planning on calling and congratulating you?
Sorry she was so mean, don't let people like that get ya down. Not worth it!

I have a delusional friend who lost contact with me in about 2002.... someone bumped into her, and she is under the impression our friendship is still going strong
Since she went MIA in manhattan, I began dating DH, moved-in with him, lived together 3 years, were engaged a year, got married, and are now pregnant.......
the person who bumped into her said 'she likely will be very offended that she wasn't invited to the wedding' 
guess she would also be with the baby shower....

Wow, what an a-hole. If you have not talked in over a year, then why the eff did she have to "give up" waiting for a shower invite like it was automatically expected?? If you are super tight BFF that would earn her an invite after a year of no contact, then I would think she should at least be a good enough friend to call you upon finding out your news to congratulate you or see how you are feeling. You don't need a crybaby brat at your shower.
