I do but I think it's because I have to sleep on my sides.

I get hip pain from sleeping on my sides. I usually wake up in the middle of the night with hip pain. It really stinks!

Re: Hip pain????

Yep, I used to get it too from sleeping on my side.

Have you tried the Snoogle or Boppy Full Body Pillow? I found that having the extra pillow support really helped.

yes, I have very bad hip pain when I am sleeping on each side.

Maybe it is your hips moving since it's not from sleeping on them.

Re: Hip pain????

I've had hip pain throughout my pregnancy, but like most of the other girls, it's mainly at night when I'm trying to sleep.

I've heard that the reason for this pain is that a pregnant woman's hips naturally widen in preparation for childbirth. Ah, the wonders of being a woman!

I had the same thing from about 5 weeks until maybe 20 weeks or so and then it suddenly went away. I was told it was because of the hormones that are loosening up your pelvis and hips. I found that it was best when lying flat or had my legs parallel to the floor. I feel your pain...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Hip pain????

totally normal, I slept on my back until about 30 weeks but my hip pain started early. I swore I could feel my hips expanding.

ETA: sorry to say once I got really big and had to sleep on my sides is got worse, but I will say once that baby came out, my hips stopped hurting, I could breathe, and my heartburn vanished.

Yup, I get the same thing sometimes and the doctor told me it was b/c the hormone Relaxin was loosening up the ligaments in my hip. I would feel fine in the morning, then it would start up around lunch and get worse as the day went on. I'll go for stretches at a time where I don't have it bother me at all!

Re: Hip pain????

I get it now, but only when laying or sitting down. Never standing! But everyone is different...
I think doing yoga once a week really helps.

Re: Hip pain????

I had it when I was PG. And sadly, 7 months post-partem it never went away. It only happens when I sleep on my side which, unfortunately, is the way I like to sleep.
