blue top + blue jeans = bad outfit?
i know you ladies will give it to me straight....
i have always had a little bit of anxiety about wearing a blue top with blue jeans. i don't know why, but i know i'm not the only one who feels this way....
so i'm going out to a sort of dress up club out of state with my friend next month and 1. i haven't been to a club in god knows how long and 2. i have nothing to wear.....
so...i want to wear jeans rather than black pants because i wear black pants to work every day and they = snoresville to me. i found a top that i love, but they are sold out of it in black in my size....they only have the blue one. here's the back view...the jeans are dark blue. is this a complete fashion faux pas or am i nuts?

what looks awful is when people mix faded or stonewashed jeans with bright blue tops

That's like a teal, absolutely goes with jeans. If it were navy it would depend on the style and may need a belt or something.

I feel the same way as you wearing blue and blue. But if you get a nice darker jeans and nice blk patent pump or even silver I think I will look nice!

The only time I wouldn't do it is if the jeans and top are too similar a color. But I wear dark blue tops with light jeans, and vice versa. That top would look nice with dark jeans, almost black or indigo.

the top is from venus....i've never ordered from them so i hope they ship quickly and it all works out. i'll let you guys know

I think dark blue jeans goes with pretty much anything. I never wear light jeans...the dark ones hide my bodonkadonk better

i always thought the black top was a better choice with jeans just because ....i guess because it's safer, you know? it hides any bloat or other chub i might have going on at the time, but i guess i can see from a purely FASHION standpoint that it could be considered boring. it's what i always wear though, so...clearly i think it looks ok...LOL.
i just ordered the blue top! so excited!

Nope...never...I hate the way black and blue look together!!
call me strange but to me its just as bad as wearing pink and red together!!

I agree - I don't think a black top with blue jeans is a bad outfit. That is just my opinion though.
And also I wanted to add that the blue top with dark blue jeans will look good.
