Would it be crazy?
If I am due 9-4 would it be crazy to buy concert tickets for 9-18? I am a crazy Celine Dion fan and I think this is an awesome opportunity. Am I nuts?

Yes Sorry. You may go late and even if not I doubt you will be up for a concert.

Re: Would it be crazy?
I would get the tickets and see how you feel. If you have the baby early, you may feel ok. If you have a sitter lined up, and a back up to take your ticket if you can't go, why not.
(I should probably mention this is my first baby... I have no idea if one would be up for a concert, but I can't see why you couldn't buy the tix just in case)

Re: Would it be crazy?
I probably wouldn't risk it, but you could always get the tickets and play it by ear. If you end up not being able to go, find someone who would want the tickets.

I don't think I would take the chance. Unless you can unload the tickets if needed.

Re: Would it be crazy?
I wanted Billy Joel tix at Shea but the concert is July 16th and I am due July 2nd. No way would I buy tix to something so close.

Re: Would it be crazy?
i'd have to say yes.
I wanted to see Bon Jovi, but it's less than a week before my due date and I did not want to risk going early and waisting the money.
I would not get tixs for a concert after my due date.

Same here I am due June 18, but am afraid to buy those tickets.

Same here with me and that's my due date - 7/16! I really wanted to go, but realistically not knowing the exact date of the baby's arrival made me realize, can't do it. Sorry, she'll be back again soon!!

I bought tix for Billy Joel for 7/16 and my due date is 6/22..not so close but if you are a big fan buy them and maybe you will go early and feel fine for a night out...You can always sell them or it's something else to look forward too!

Re: Would it be crazy?
IMO, yes, first are you going to be comfortable leaving your child that soon after giving birth? Plus, you will probably be very tired so may not enjoy the concert as much as usual. And if you go late, you will probably still be recovering.
I had a great recovery, and DS was sleeping 5 hours at night from day 1, but I can say I wouldnt have wanted to be at a concert 2 weeks after his birth.

Thank you, you took the words right out of my mouth. In all seriousness though - if it were me, I would not personally spend the money knowing that there is a good chance I could go late or just that I might not be comfortable leaving the baby so soon...BUT if it is not expensive and you know someone who could use the ticket if you can't go, then that's a different story.

Re: Would it be crazy?
Ok I guess there aren't a whole lot of Celine fans in the house
I love her music and her voice more than her, but that's beside the point. I think you're all right. I think it's crazy. I'll just wait until next time around. Thanks for the honesty.

Re: Would it be crazy?
Realistically, I don't think you'll want to go...but I also think they're easy enough to get rid of if you buy them now and suddenly decide you can't go.
