Walk through
doing ours tomorrow night after work (the time is near!!)
I know it has been mentioned before, did a search but can't find the posts...
what should we be looking for at our walk thru? What to bring (other than flash light & night light)?
Who will be there with us (other than our RE agent)?
FYI our house is newly renovated and vacant.

Bring a small lamp or something else you can use to check all the outlets. Run the washing machine and dishwasher, and make sure the dryer works.

make sure all appliances/electric outlets are working.
no damage to anything, which should be pretty easy since your house is vacant.

make sure all the fixtures you negotiated to be there actually are - so refigerator, stove, washer dryer, lighting, blinds/window treatments.
Run the dishwasher the moment you get there
Flush all the toilets with paper and make sure they flush everything away.
Run all the sinks
turn on all the lights
turn the heat up to make sure it is working

You really dont need the checklist. I had it in the car but didnt bring it in. We just checked every window, every outlet, every light switch, the shower, sinks, and toilet.....
Look under the bathroom and kitchen sinks for leaks
Put the dryer, dishwasher and washing machine on to make sure they work

We checked all the outlets, opened and closed the doors, flushed the toilet, ran the shower and tub, checked under the sinks for any leaks and all the windows.

very ******...
so it turned out there is a huge burnt mark on the kitchen countertop that was disguised with a stereo on top before!!!
who would of thought to move their stereo?? That was so done on purpose and I just can't swollow it...
and I am getting extremely irritated with our lawyer, every single time there is something wrong and we want to negotiate, he always advise me against it, he says if we can deal with it we should deal with it or we might lose the house.
You know what? Your job is to protect our interest!

well my agent called the seller and he is going over to the house to try to make it "pretty", I am just glad that he is willing to do something about it.
