Spicy foods....
My sil told me that her cousins baby was born with acid reflux because she was eating alot of spicy foods throughout her pregnancy. I have never heard of this!! Is this really possible?
Now this has gotten me worried since I've been noticing that lately it seems as if I've been eating alot of spicy thngs like buffalo chicken wings, spicy chicken sandwiches etc. So funny because before I was preggo, I never had any of this stuff

Same here!
I highly doubt that's true though.

Re: Spicy foods....
I'm sur ethe acud reflux has nothing to do with prenatal diet. But if you're breastfeeding, it would be an issue then.

Re: Spicy foods....
baby's are born with reflux because of the immaturity of their digestive system.
I was concerned that because I have reflux she will be more prone to it. My pediatrician said no, not as a baby...but if as an adult she has reflux, she can most likely thank me.

Re: Spicy foods....
I ate a lot of mexican food when I was preggo with my DD, and she is just fine today! I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Re: Spicy foods....
I don't think that eating spicy food would give your kid acid reflux.
I ate alot of it with both and neither of them had any problems.

Re: Spicy foods....
i ate a lot of spicy food and my son didnt have acid reflux. However, it is known that a baby can be extra gassy if you eat spicy foods.
