Bottle question

What brand of bottles is everyone getting/registering for? There are so many brands I'm not sure which is the best. I have heard good things about Advent, and then read some not so great reviews of them on BRU. Please share your choices.
Thanks! Chat Icon

Re: Bottle question

We're going with the Playtex drop-in bottles. My SIL swears by them and I'm all about convenience and less to clean.

Re: Bottle question

I registered for the Born Free Bottles and the Playtex Drop-Ins.

If Chat Icon is gassy, then I'll go with the Dr. Browns.

Re: Bottle question

Just some advice from someone who has had a hard time with bottles. Don't register for too much bottle stuff....you never know what brand your child will "take to". I was all set to use the drop ins and DS WOULD NOT take them, nor would he take the Vent Air ones. We finally switched to Advent and everyone is happy.

This is great advice - THANK YOU! I am planning to buy 2 Born Free glass bottles and see how that goes. I'll just move on to something else if Chat Icon doesn't like them.

Re: Bottle question

Haven't got a clue. I'm planning on EBF so I really only need a handful to keep around the house for DH.

I figure it will be one of those things I figure out after baby is born.

Re: Bottle question

I registered for the Playtex drop-in bottles. My sister (a nanny who has worked in daycare for years) swears by them, so I thought I'd try them out. Plus, I like that there are no BPA issues with those.

Re: Bottle question

Dr. Brown's. I've heard LOTS of wonderful things about these from new mothers. Everyone says they're the best ones for preventing gas.

that's our plan. I didn't register for too many and I am not washing ahead of time so if one works, I will stick with it and return the others.

This is what we used for DD and we are using them again for this one. But I will say that every baby is different so you may need to try a couple of different bottles before you find the one that works best for you.

Re: Bottle question

after a lot of back and forth, i decided to get dr. brown's glass. i only bought four of the 4 oz bottles at first and we'll see if baby likes them. i know it's not very many, but i am hoping to breastfeed and also some wise moms pointed out babies can be picky about bottles.
