Addicted to Chapstick...
i need an intervention. how do i stop? it's embarassing how often i am applying chapstick. is there anything out there that will actually heal my lips and not make me want it more??

Nope. I suffer from this too. It's so bad. I keep one at my desk, one in my car door where you pull it closed from, about 4 in my bag (one in each section) one in my wallet and always in my backpocket.
This way when one runs out I have backup.
It's a hard habit to break.

I swear by Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. It works REALLY well.
The other thing I swear by is applying it at night right before you go to bed. Put a lot on and go to sleep. It works like a moisturizing treatment you would put on your hands or feet.

I carry mine with me constantly, it goes everywhere I go.
I was so upset last week when I lost it until I got a new one.

I thought I heard somewhere that there is something in chapstick that actually dries your lips out... making you use it more and get addicted to it. I guess that gives them customers for life!
Don't know if it's true or not, though! I have switched to plain old vaseline.... DH says I leave "oil slicks" in my water glasses!

I am the same exact way!! They are everywhere, in every pocket!!!! And whenever I go into CVS I always buy more!!!

i get really bad chapped lips in the winter too!
I know this sounds crazy but the only thing that heals my lips when they are bad is Neosporin CREAM, not the ointment. I rub a tiny coat over my lips before I go to bed and when I wake up they are a thousand times better!

I am addicted too! I have it everywhere - every bag, next to my bed, in my living room, in my car....I can't stop using it either. I tried to switch to the medicated but that was worse I think.

2-in my pocket book ,
1-on my nightstand.
1-in the medicine cabinet after I brush my teeth!
1-in the car
this all I can remember at this moment!
i bet i have a few hiding somewhere.
its just crazy!

I have the same problem. I have it in every coat, the car, and all over my apartment. It's been like this for a couple of years so there is no stopping it now!

I have been addicted for at least 20 years....
Since DD was born, and I have kept one in my bra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just to make sure I always had it handy.
It's sooo pathetic, when she wants to use some "lipstick", she goes right for my bra!

OMG same here.....I was just having this converastion with a co-worker, because I LOVE Survivor and want to apply to get on, and she asked me what my luxury item would be and I said CHAPSTICK!!!!
