Numb hands...
I've noticed over the past few days when I wake up in the morning or even sometimes through the night my hands are numb. Anyone else experience this?

Re: Numb hands...
It's carpal tunnel. I get this only in my left hand because i had the surgery on my right hand a year ago..
The left always is PAINFULLY numb when I wake up now. It's worse after I've been on the computer for a while..

Re: Numb hands...
I do use a computer all day at work. If it was that is it something that goes away after pregnancy?

They say pregnancy aggrivates the condition. It could get better because you won't have as much swelling in you hands and wrists. But it could stay that way.. See what happens after you deliver. If you feel better- great. If not, see an ortho.

Re: Numb hands...
I had numb hands during my pregnancy and towards the end it was a little painful but the second I delivered my DS I felt some relief. It took 3 months but the numbness and pain finally went away.
My doctor warned me that it might not go away but said that was not usually the case...and she was right. It went away.

Re: Numb hands...
I get this too (and only when I am sleeping) its a numb, tingly, and sometimes aching/painful feeling in my hands/wrists.
I spoke to mr Dr. about it yesterday and she said it is Pregnancy related Carpal Tunnel. She suggested wrist splints (which I cannot sleep with) and sleeping with my palms facing down and slightly elevated. The good news is she says it goes away by 3 month post partum!

Re: Numb hands...
Oh boy I had this with pg #1 and have started to experience it again now with #2.
I only get it at night, and dr told me to buy wrist splints- go to walmart they are the cheapest there. It goes all the way up to your forearm and what a relief. I only need it to sleep.
