I went to the RE today........
and I have to have surgery. I just can't catch a break. AF came to visit me very early yesterday morning and the cramping on my left side by my ovary was so freakin bad I almost had DH take me to the ER. Well, when the RE was pushing down on that side, I had no pain, but he did see the cyst on my left ovary. Its about the same size as a small golf ball. He wants to determine once and for all if I have endometriosis because I have some signs of it and he's also going to flush out my tube just to make sure there are no blockages. My recovery time is between 4 - 6 weeks and at least 2 of those weeks, I will stay with my parents because I can't climb the stairs to my apartment. Once I've recovered, then its on to the injections.

I am so sorry to hear this.
On a positive note, you're taking steps to make sure everything is ok. I know it doesn't make it any better, but when all is said and done, you'll be able to start injectables.

Re: I went to the RE today........
I know that having surgery is a step in the right direction. I feel bad for DH because since we've been married, this is the longest that we'll be apart. He was really down because he's going to be lonely without me. Yesterday when I got into work from my RE appointment, low and behold was my big box of fertility drugs!!! I still haven't received my follistim. Last night the pharmacy called and said that GHI will not cover it and that I should take Gonal-F. The pharmacy has to call my RE to see if its ok to give me Gonal-F. I still don't have a date for my surgery, I should find out tomorrow. I just want to get this over with so we can start TTC again.
