The big "NAME" discussion...
DH and I are going back and forth with this all the time. We name in English and Hebrew so there are twice as many monikers to come up with. We've settled on who our child will be named for in Hebrew only and decided to choose which ever names in English we like best. If they happen to have the same letters as the Hebrew names so be it. We also decided that we will NOT share names with anyone until the baby is out. That seems to be all we have that is our own. We do not care to know anyone's opinion.
HOWEVER, we do want to call the baby something once we find out what it is and we have decided upon:
"Ed-lie" for a girl "Les-ward" for a boy
(I think the bologna went to my head - as it appears that I have officially lost it)

I'll recommend Vic-ren the next time someone has a flare up.

GIANTS
Eli is not an option. I would only consider Brett if there is to be any mention of football in my child's name.

Re: The big "NAME" discussion...
OMG I love you for posting this! DH & I have real issues w/ sharing the names we have come up with b/c of wretched unsolicited opinions (the few people I have told have almost all disappointed me), so we have been telling everyone his name is Cheriff...pronounced like Sheriff of course, but a combination of Cheryl & Cliff.

Re: The big "NAME" discussion...
Someone is bound to bit ch about what we choose and whats funny is that our choices are so very traditional and inncuous. When my brother was having his first, we called the baby "Epis" which means "something" in yiddish.

Re: The big "NAME" discussion...
We told my MIL that we were naming our child Mohechicchio (Mow-he-key-oh) totally rhymes with our last name- if it was a boy, and Gina (rhymes with Vagina) if it was a girl. She really believed us.
No one in our families really believe we are naming our child Max Power- we are total boys who cried wolf. But it's for real. Ha. Jerks.
