2 Questions, If you delivered there when did you do the hospital walk through, and if you had a private room did insurance cover it?

The private rooms you have to pay for. I do not believe insurance covers it
Im due August 1st and I am delivering there. You have to request a private room - which I am doing. I believe its any extra 150 or so a night
I havent done the tour yet
My doc said to make sure to do the tour
They only do it on Sat mornings and you have to make a reservation

Thanks, for the info, I'm due July 30th and my husband really wants to stay overnight with me.

Are husbands allowed to stay overnight?
I never asked that and I know some hospitals dont allow it
But if you get a private room and you are paying for it - it would prb be ok
Im not sure if DH wawnts to stay with me. We live literally 3 minutes from the hospital!

As of May 2007 (less than a year ago) the cost for a private room is $125 per night. I totally recommed it. You pay out of your pocket; insurance doesn't cover it.
Tours are every Sat at 9:00 am. You could just show up but it is better to call and put your name on the list.

I was there in May and now again in March. The PP nurses were amazing.

I am delivering there and i'm due in 5 weeks. I'm going for the tour next Saturday, March 1st.

I delivered there in 2001 and will again in April, I paid for my private room and was so happy with my choice. DH stayed very late(Like 11-12) but was not allowed to stay overnight. So unless things changed, DH will not be able to stay.
