I can empathize.
But, that is the exact reason we decided not to tell anyone the name we picked. We don't want to hear anyone's opinions and by the time the baby is born everyone will be too excited to comment on the name.

You should have given her a weird name and ran with it...would have given you a few laughs. I did this with my uncle's mother (a meddler) and she was all up in arms about it. The rest of my family got a kick out of her having a fit.
