? for those who routinely get full body massages OR GIVE THEM
DH and I went to Eden Spa for a couples massage. I have had numerous massages before but never a couples massage. I was totally nude and several times I felt the sheet fold completely down or over to one side. The MT was pretty touchy in private areas and did ask about the technique, pressure etc. Was this normal, or am I looking more into it? Is a couples massage thought to be more erotic so a different method is used? DH told me he couldn't even look over
I THINK I WAS VIOLATED but it felt good so I didn't mind

Re: ? for those who routinely get full body massages
I did not notice anything like that when we had a couples massage. The only time I felt a little weird was when I had my hands at my sides and the massage therapist was standing over me and it seemed like his crotch area accidentally hit my hands way too many times. That was not during a couples massage.

i've never had the massage itself be different when partaking in a couples massage.

Re: ? for those who routinely get full body massages
That NOTHING to do with a couple massage but the massage therapist herself/himself.
Some LMTs do very conservative drapping while other don't. I do work gluts on client if I think they need it but I ALWAYS ask. I don't assume people are confortable with exposing their body. My drapping is rather conversative depending the client (I don't want to lose my license!).
In any cases... YOU DO have a say into what is going on in the room.
According to the State of NY, clients MUST be drapped. That's really slacking and disrespectful. Female breasts cannot be exposed if they need to for VERY GOOD REASONS, the client must approve. Your privates (genitals!!!) can NEVER be exposed EVEN at the client's request.
In addition, you can complain to the Board of Education.
ETA: what kind of massage was it? Regular swedish?

Re: ? for those who routinely get full body massages
I've never had a couples massage, so I don't know that direct answer, but I will say that I once felt uncomfortable with a man - that he touched too far or whatever. So I now always ask for a woman. That's when I realized, the guy didn't do anything different than all of the women, but I've found that my comfort level is much better with a woman.

It was an aromatherapy deep tissue massage. Most of the time I was face down. When I was on my back she put my leg on her shoulder and was stretching me. Another time she bent my knee towards my face and then extended it outwards rotating my hip flexors. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back again, I just wanted to know if anyone has ever had or given a massage like that before.

Yes. I do them once in a while. It requires very careful drapping. I honestly don't like doing them while people are undressed for this very reason. Stretching is not always part of a deep tissue massage. It depends on the place you go to and massage therapist. I usually do them with Sport Massage.

I just saw this & thought I'd respond for ya. This is a pretty common stretch, one of the first ones I was taught, but a "diaper drape" should be done, ie: the sheet should be wrapped around the circumference of your entire upper thigh (like a diaper) when the stretch is being performed so the client feels comfortable. If that didn't occur, then the LMT needs to brush up on their draping skills.
